We bought it to notify us when the baboons are in our rubbish area so we can chase them away. Works ok except it also goes off when the mongoose scratches around. Note that it will detect almost all birds that fly close to it as well as small mammals and baboons. Also note that on a smallholding the sound is only loud when you are close to it and not so loud more than 10m away.
